Our Story

A table Gabriela always wished existed

Liora by Gabriela

Liora began with a simple frustration: Gabriela couldn't find a place in the mountains that treated brunch, coffee and wine with the same care she'd seen on her travels — unhurried, ingredient-led, a little bit romantic.

So she built one. Liora by Gabriela opened its doors in Morovis with a short menu, a tight wine list, and a coffee bar poured from beans grown just up the road. Every recipe on the menu started in her own kitchen before it ever reached a table here.

The name is personal — Liora, "my light" — a nod to the people who make the room feel warm long after the sun goes down.

— Gabriela, Founder

What we believe

How we run the room

Small on purpose

A short menu and a handful of tables means every plate leaves the kitchen the way Gabriela intended it.

Close to home

Coffee, produce and cheese from growers across the central mountains — many of them a short drive from our door.

Unhurried

No one is rushed off the table here. Brunch is meant to stretch into the afternoon.
